Estancia El Fortin is privately owned and operated by Dr. Juan
Carlos Torres who is a native Argentinean and grew up in the
Cordoba area. He is a banking lawyer who works in the city of
Cordoba and an avid hunter.

El Fortin is a newly constructed private lodge located near
the town of Santa Rosa del Rio Primero approximately a 1 hour
drive from the City of Cordoba, Argentina.
The lodge can house 12 hunters comfortably in 6 double
occupancy rooms. The lodge Chef prepares all meals at the
lodge and lunch is served in the field in the typical
Argentine “Asado” fashion.
Hunting at El Fortin as well as in the Cordoba Province is
year round since the summer and winter temperatures in this
area are mild with the average temperatures in the summer
being 60 –85 and temperatures in the winter ranging form 40 –
70’s. All rooms have air conditioning and heating and the main
“Common Area” in the lodge has Satellite TV., a large bar, and
a large sitting area. |
 The
typical hunting schedule is as follows: On the day of arrival
in Cordoba the hunters will be met at the Cordoba Airport and
then taken to the lodge where they will have a chance to
unpack, eat, and then head to the field for a “half day” of
shooting. Once the afternoon’s shooting is concluded, the
hunters will then return to the lodge for a shower and a drink
before sitting down to a wonderfully prepared Argentine meal.
The next 2 FULL days will be hunting days starting with a
6:00AM wake up call, a hardy breakfast, and then a short drive
to the field. Most drives to the fields are 30-40 minutes.
Hunters will normally shoot 3-4 hours in the morning before
stopping for lunch and then shoot 3-4 more hours in the
afternoon. Hunters can expect to fire between 2-4 cases of
shells a day (1000 – 2000 rounds) at dove.On the last day
hunters will shoot in the morning only and then return to the
lodge to pack, shower, and have lunch before heading to the
Cordoba Airport for their overnight flight home.

The trip is for 3 days of dove hunting with 4 days at the
lodge (1 day of rest).
INCLUDED IN THE TRIP:
International airfare from Miami to Cordoba, gun permit (for
ONE gun only),
assistance through Customs, meals, lodging, guiding, airport
transfers, beer, wine and meals at lunch in the field. (Prices
& schedules are based on flying on Aerolineas Argentinas
Airlines). Clients can be flown on other airlines and depart
from other cities at additional costs.
NOT INCLUDED IN THE TRIP: Shotgun
shells, hunting licenses (U$35.00/ day), tips, items of a
personal nature, and US domestic airfare to Miami. Fla. |
