Dove Hunting with Manuel Airala
Manuel Airala is an American Citizen of Argentine descent, that
was educated and lived in Michigan until he moved back to
Argentina 17 years ago. He started an Outfitting Company that
offers hunters the opportunity to hunt ducks, dove, perdiz,
wild boar, and red stag. He has exclusive use of several
lodges and shares several other lodges with other Outfitters.Manuel Airala hunts in the Cordoba Province just north of the
city of Cordoba. He has exclusive use of several large
Estancias that have roosts, waterholes, and/or grain fields
located on them that he hunts over. Two of his main hunting
areas have two of the largest dove roosts in the Cordoba
Province located within or next to these properties. Hunters
wishing to go to Cordoba and hunt with Manuel Airala have
several Lodges/Estancias or Hotels where they can stay and use
as a base from which to hunt. Manuel normally chooses the best
location to house the hunters based on the time of year & crop
harvesting schedule which dictates where the birds are
roosting and feeding. He chooses the lodge which is located as
close as possible to where the dove are feeding and roosting
in order to keep the drives to the field as short as possible.
Estancia “La Paz” will satisfy even the most
discriminating sportsman, Southern Sporting Safaris in
conjunction with Manuel Airala is pleased to offer hunters the
opportunity to stay at the elegant “Estancia La Paz” which was
the “Retreat” home of the Former President of Argentina.
Estancia La Paz is a “Gated” Estancia so it offers maximum
security for all its guests. Located just outside the town of
La Granja, Estancia La Paz’s property encompasses several
hundred acres and includes an Olympic sized swimming pool, a
lake in which clients can boat or fish, a polo field where
tournaments are held, horseback riding, walking and biking
trails and a 5 Star Restaurant. Guests staying at La Paz will
also have access to a beautiful and challenging 18 hole golf
course located just minutes down the road. The Chef at La Paz,
Bruno Glaudo, has been the recipient of the prestigious “Best
Chef in Argentina” Award for the last two years running. The
cuisine served at La Paz is worthy of any 5 Star restaurants
that you would find in New York City, Hollywood or any other
large city in the US. The food served at the La Paz restaurant
will satisfy and delight even the most cultivated palettes.
Each hunter will have a menu of dishes to choose from for
breakfast, lunch, and dinner including dessert. |

| The guest rooms at La Paz are as fine and elegant as any
Victorian home in the world. The rooms are loaded with
antiques and will make you think you have stepped back in
time. Hunters normally will be housed “double occupancy” but
upon request “single” rooms are available at a nominal charge.
Hunters are housed “double occupancy” in the “basic” room but
an “upgrade” to a suite can be arranged (either single or
double occupancy) for a small fee. The “Basic” room at La Paz
is what one would expect to find in any 4-5 Star Hotel. Hunters staying at La Paz will have a wonderful breakfast at
the Estancia and then will take a short drive to the field for
the mornings shoot. Lunch will be served in the field in the
typical Argentine “Asado” fashion and after a short “siesta”
the shooting will begin again. Hunters/groups wishing to
return to the Estancia at lunch can do so but lunches at La
Paz are “extra” and the clients will be expected to pay for
lunch. Lunches in the field are included in the price of the
trip. Once the afternoon’s hunt has concluded the hunters will
return to the Estancia where they can shower, relax, and have
a drink before dinner. Hunters will normally shoot 3-4 hours
in the morning and 3-4 hours in the afternoon and typically
fire 1000-2000 rounds per day at dove.
On the day the hunters arrive in Cordoba, they will hunt the
first afternoon, then three full days of hunting and then hunt
the last morning before returning to the Estancia to shower
and pack before heading to the Cordoba Airport to catch their
overnight flight to the US or to their home country.
