Grady Greene wrote Gustavo about Hunting:
Gustavo, We made it home without incident. The hunting was
fantastic. I have hunted Mexico, Columbia and once before in
Argentina. Believe me this was the best yet. A ten on a ten
scale. However the food and lodging was even more impressive.
The food was noteworthy. My wife is a gourmet cook and I dine
on fine china with sterling silver every single meal when I'm
at home. Believe me when I ask for a recipe, which I did, the
food is outstanding. You made us feel like we were having a
weekend with good friends. You are a most gracious host. The
"closing ceremonies" will be long remembered. May our paths
cross again.- Grady Greene |

On behalf of Jack Kerzman and myself, I wish to thank you for
a most memorable and enjoyable dove shooting trip. From the
moment of arrival in Buenos Aires to our departure days later,
you and your staff excelled in seeing to our everyday comforts
as well as insuring us days filled with incredible dove
shooting. the staff at the lodge were courteous and friendly
always having food and drinks available. The lodge and its
surroundings were lovely. We both recommend your outfitter group for serious dove
shooters and would be most happy to answer any future clients'
questions. We look forward to seeing you in 2001 for another
great dove shoot in Argentina.
Sincerely - Larry Edell |

Edwin Lewis wrote to Gustavo Olsen about Hunting in Tucumán:
"I want to take time out to compliment you on your Tucumán
Adventure. I don't believe there are or could be any more
birds in the world. The shooting was absolutely off the
scales. On our arrival you suggested, in a very settle way,
that we had not ever seen as many birds. You are CORRECT. The
shooting was great, however, the food, staff, and living
quarters were equally as impressive. CONGRATULATIONS!!. Thank
you for opening one of the sure to be best experiences any
Wing Shooter could ever enjoy. Thanks again for a terrific
seven days.Sincerely - Edwin Lewis |

Rafael Morillo wrote to the Olsens about Fishing:
A well deserved testimony
Dear friends: It is the least I could do. Fifteen consecutive
years of fishing Patagonia should at least qualify me to speak
on behalf of a truly dedicated and professional group of
friends. I am referring to the personnel at Safaris Outfitters
working out of San Martin de los Andes. On the occasion of
publishing their new web page, I want to make my modest
contribution of a testimony on their behalf. |

Robert Harrington wrote John McKenzie
about Hunting:
As a college professor, I have written many letters of
recommendation. The hardest to write is for the marginal
student. How do you write a letter that is fair to both the
student and the potential employer? The easiest is for a top
student. This letter for Stuart and John McKenzie of Southern
Shooting Safaris is the easy kind. Stuart and John are a
father and son team that has traveled extensively in South
America bird hunting. And if you like, either, or both, will
accompany your group to manage the myriad of details of
international travel with a gun and to assure a top shooting
experience. |

Erle Norton wrote John McKenzie about
Hunting:
What a great trip you arranged to Rodeo de los Bueyes Lodge on
May 2004. This was my second trip and a friend, who had been
before, and I invited six others to go along this time. The
eight of us killed more than 25,000 doves. We only came home
because the doves kept “attacking” and we had to retreat. It
was a war. |

Jim Weber
wrote John McKenzie about Hunting:
Dove hunting in Tucuman, Argentina was much more than I had
expected, as was the service from John McKenzie of Southern
Sporting Safaris. Customer Service has become a lot like
common sense these days, not too common. But John went out of
his way to make sure we were ready and prepared for our trip.
We were sent a packing list, which John followed up with phone
calls. Often you don’t know what questions to ask, but John
gave detailed discussions that left no questions unanswered,
even the ones not asked. |
